These myths are why some people believe it takes a long time to play guitar as oppose to learning to play play guitar quickly. Don’t get me wrong, playing real well takes time and playing often… notice I did’t say “practice”, I said “playing”!

1) Other teaches spend way too much time on what they call “open” chords and keep you in the first five frets.… here’s a secret, the first five frets of the guitar are the hardest to play!

2) When teachers teach the movable “barre” chords… they use the hardest chords…. it’s not necessary to play these chords at the beginning.

3) It is more important to learn how chords work with each other in “Keys” not memorizing types of chords or a chord dictionary! That is like me giving you the English dictionary and telling you all the words you want to know are all there…. it’s worthless without knowing how to use them!!!

It doesn’t need to take months or years to play guitar although some teachers as well as potential students think so!

I am a different type of guitar coach, I approach playing guitar very differently than others.. you will be playing guitar very quickly, and you will understand what you are doing, “not just be a robot”! It will also be as comprehensive as it can be, it all depends upon your reasons for playing.

How well you play is up to you… how much time you spend playing etc. However, if it’s fun, if you are motivated, playing your songs and not frustrated…. you will spend more time playing… and so the better and better you will become!

The learning never ends… whether it’s with a teacher, a fellow musician or yourself…. I have been playing for over 30 years… I still keep on learning!!

In expanding this education program… I am reaching out to other guitar teachers and guitar instructors as well as players who would like to join this musician’s/teaching program.

Also looking for experienced guitar players who wish to lean how to teach guitar!

This would be a musician’s community site, it would include having a few good teacher/musicians… am not looking to build a “directory” list

I didn’t invent “the music” .. but I have developed a course containing some really great ways of presenting the music and techniques to students! If you would like to use your own material that would be a consideration as well.

The newly being designed web site can include a web site page for an instructor… or I can offer my services to develop a customized complete web site for any instructor.

My intention is to develop a premier teaching site, utilizing the internet for live lessons as well providing lessons locally in Arizona. In addition, this is to be a musician’s exchange community web site.

New and exciting interactive guitar lessons are now available!
Taking real interactive lessons online adds a whole new dimension and flexibility for students… imagine the flexibility of scheduling, of recording lessons, of not missing lessons etc.


Nothing can take the place of in person lessons.
However this new approach involving the latest audio/video technologies, it is as close to taking lessons in person as you can get. The offset is more freedom in scheduling and a wider coverage of making lessons anywhere there is internet access!!
